risograph

Risograph is the first printing technique other than letterpress that has really spoken to Jamey artistically; it has a similar analog aesthetic where imperfections add to the texture and depth of the piece. They're hoping to be able to experiment more with risograph as a medium, but here is some of the riso work they've done so far!

This 2-color risograph animation was made as a final project for a course called "Art, Society, and New Media Technologies for Art Educators." It was animated digitally and then separated into individual frames, which were then printed on a risograph machine. That riso contact sheet was then scanned in and re-animated to produce this delightfully analog animation.
